The show took place a Manchester Central earlier this year in January, a local show for us! The show contained some of the UK's finest hot rods, custom bikes, lowriders and trucks, along with an appearance and demonstration from American TV show stars; Ronnie and Amy (who loved our car) from Lizard Lick Towing.
The morning before the doors opened to the show, Jayne was interviewed by Andy Crane on BBC Radio Manchester to help promote the Ultimate Custom Show as well as the sport Drag Racing. Jayne talked about her progression within the sport and what she hopes to achieve within the 2015 Race Season. Needless to say their reaction to Jayne’s top-end speeds and achievements left them almost speechless.
We were really pleased to be asked to get involved in such a cool show and were lucky enough to be situated right at the entrance of the Manchester Central Hall. The show overall was a great success, there was hundreds of customised vehicles on show and more than 60,000 visitors attended over the weekend. We really enjoyed meeting new fans and definitely got a lot of interest towards Drag Racing.
These types of off-track events are really fun, they help promote the sport, and meeting new fans is always exciting. The car is now in preparation for the first test weekend in April at Santa Pod Raceway, we are hoping to get more of an angle of the new set up, the driver and crew has a lot of work to do.
